New 500L Waiting in the Wings

Within the next few weeks, Fiat will unveil it's new 500L at the Geneva Motor Show. The 500L should blend all of the character and style that makes the 500 so popular with a more family friendly 5 or 7 seat layout, all with 5 doors. Fiat boasts that the 500L will have "MPV passenger space combined with the feel of a small SUV on the road and the restrained dimensions and efficiency of a B segment car".

Although nothing has been confirmed as yet, we expect to see the award winning Twinair Petrol engine, as well as a 1.4 and a frugal diesel engine making an appearance.

The five-seater car measures up at 414cm long, 178cm wide and 166cm high (increases of 6cm, 1.5cm and 1.7cm respectively over the standard 500) and will be built in Fiat's plant in Kragujevac, Serbia. The Geneva show is on the 6th March, and we would expect to see the car in our showroom towards the end of the year.
